An Interrupted Day Mmm... today is like a routine, i'm doing everything i always do, again. Woke up at 10+, ate my breakfast and started reading DeathNote. Well... even if it was a coincidence, isnt this too freaky? Weiqing called me right at the crucial point of my comic. Apparently Raito(bad guy) has gotten an advantage over Near and Mello(the one who wanna catch the bad guy), then hes gonna do something and kill them. Whats gonna happen! Then "ARE U READY?!?! YEA!! Hey hey hey hey hey..." (my ringtone), weiqing called. Lol, freaky right? Anyway he told me to have lunch with him, yinyong and eugene at T-mall. And also to go to the job agency for a job together. Well, though i'm seriously curious about what happens in my comic, i still went (See, i'm such a GOOD friend). Well, they pulled a trick off me as soon as i arrived. They told me they were at the food court at first, then later they said they were at long john silver. But guess where were they? They were INSIDE some LINGERIE SHOP!!! Lol jk, they were hidden at the railings where they could see me without me spotting them. Then yinyong did "The Laughter" again and weiqing just keep kay-siao-ing me. Anyway i had lunch at Long John Silver again... I mean... isnt this the N-th time i'm having my lunch there? I think i can probably use cubic equations to find out how many times i've been there... Or even permutation... Hah, imagine that! Anyway we all went to some "Kelly Services" job agency to look for a job. Is it me... or does the name of this shop sound like they handle "dirty" businesses? Lol, no offence to Kelly Services though, dun sue an ignorant individual like myself! sorry sorry! Well, Eugene and Yinyong decided to go to Takashimaya. They were gonna look for books at some bookshop there. The others (Jianhong, Aaron and weiqing) dunno what to see. Seeing this blur group, i decided to go home and continue reading my deathnote. Guess who called me the minute i returned home? Weiqing! Waa call me go basketball, then say like got so many ppl go lidat. How could i refuse. Having no choice, i took my ball and --->strolled<---- there lol. It turned out there were only 3 of them. Weiqing fooled me! ARGH! Well, we played 1 on 1 on 1 on 1 between the 4 of us. Eventually Weiqing won i think. Yea u must be thinking, how come not jianhong. Well... he went to rest halfway thru, i think he got overheated from sprinting too much earlier. Well u know him.. chiong a lot mah.. Then we went to play with some kids, probably around 10-12 those kind. I believed it was a thrashing match as jianhong, weiqing, aaron and me were teamed together. With these 3 tall guys under the ring, they couldnt do much inside-scoring. Well but i gotta admit their shooting were awesome, loads better than us. To be honest i think i'm probably hated by my team. Well there were countless of times when i could score, and missed. I seriously think that it was because the ball was too heavy (loads heavier than mine because mine had the leather worn off and theirs were made of rubber). Well i had my fun, i tried to kay-siao a bit, but eventually, despised by my team due to the many failed attempts... NOoooo Well here are some photos i took for the day. A Rather Sweaty* Day Well, basically i went out again today. And yea, i perspired alot today... i wonder if its the  weather or i'm just ill?Well, the day started with a meeting at the MRT station. It was seriously a miracle weiqing wasnt late! In fact most of us were there before the girls. That probably proves that girls are sloooow? But by saying that, yifeng would definitely be a sissy boy (pai seh always suan u on my blog lol, but of course, u are man la haha). He was super late. Lol. We reached vivocity. We saw Pei Fen, the DJ on 93.3FM. At first i didnt even believe it lol, but honesty she looks cuter in person than on tv. Well i was indecisive whether i should go say hi or something, take a pic etc. But well, i didnt. What happened was Wilson WENT to the bin near her to throw something. SHE WAS SURPRISED! I think she tot a fan was going to ask for an autograph or something, which didnt happen of course. Bet she was super embarassed and naughty wilson lol. Nice trick u pulled off. Well, what was also surprising was i think weishi and wanyu or is it someone else, called for her and said "hi". PeiFen waved back sia! Well then i started thinking, "waa even the girls are more couragous than me" so i wanted to go shake her hand or something. Then weiqing somehow overheard what i wanted to do (well i was verbally thinking), and he went telling everyone about it. Lol to save my skin, i decided to suan the girls by saying at least thats better than standing from a distance and waving lol. Anyway i didnt catch any movie due to a couple of reasons and to keep u in suspence, i'm not saying. A couple of us (jianhong, yifeng, weiqing, justin and me) left halfway to go to Sim Lim Sq. Basically it was tedious and the trip was fruitless. We wanted to look for jobs but there wont any vacanies left. Yea.. so much for the 1hr trying to find sim lim sq from little india... Bleh, we went back to vivocity again. This time, we even went to the arcade (well only a few of us, some were at other places). I think weiqing even spent a fortune on a basketball game in the arcade. Justin was saying we're freaks, thinking of basketball day and night, even at the arcade. Well, theres a couple of ironic things that happened. Elmer wasnt there. Seems like he had something on, but isnt this supposed to be like his date with "Erhem" or something? If he wasnt there, what was the point? Secondly, the job at sim lim square. The ad on the papers was only there for like less than a day and the vacancies are full. Well if there were so little vacancies, why bother wasting money posting an ad on the papers, wasting our time travelling there! Besides, even if there were really alot of jobs available, it was full because too many ppl applied for the job before us, cant the company just look for a recuitment agency or something to find the ppl required? Why post an useless ad? Lol, seems like my entry doesnt have any link with the title. But well.. blah. Lol. I took loads of pictures today, and yinyong, this time there will be pics of u! huehaha. Shopping on Orchard Road Sorry it has been so long since i updated the blog. Whoa... today was a super tiring day. I went to orchard road with lots (well, if u can count, its not exactly alot) of ppl. There was Weiqing, Elmer, Jianhong, Eugene, Yifeng and Yinyong. The story started at the 291 bus-stop. Not-so-surprising, Weiqing was late. I arranged to meet him at 9.40 but he came at about 9.50 with some crap excuse (lmao jk). Anyway we took a bus to the MRT station to meet the rest of the gang. At the station, weiqing came out with this ingenious idea of using the other escalator to catch the guys off their feets as they were waiting at the other escalator. Well, as soon as we met, i realised most of the guys were sleepy and wilson wasnt there. Seems like wilson missed home and yinyong didnt get enough of his beauty sleep lol. (Oh yah, previously these peeps were staying overnight at elmer's house) Anyway we took a train to this station which i didnt bother to remember the name lol. Yifeng was reading a book during the entire journey (i mean of all things, he had to READ?!? lol, no offence to yifeng) while yinyong didnt give a damn and fell asleep. The rest of us were chit-chatting. We soon reached our destination thanks to the the efficient transportation in our lovely Singapore (and dun sue me, i aint being sarcastic). We checked out John Little, spend some time there and checked out some shirts. We decided that it was too early to decide on which shirt to buy. We checked out the other malls, blah blah, had lunch, blah blah, went to some Sony retailers, blah blah and the final blah put us back to John Little - the reason being it has more variety of shirts and had a price for it. (Blah, ok i admit it, i'm cheapskate! The sole reason was the PRICE!) Anyway we quickly picked out the nicer shirts. Basically elmer's and mine shirt will be the same pattern but different colours. Weiqing couldnt find anything suitable, so he decided to do his shopping else where. Later we went to BATA to get some leather shoes for elmer. Well, he got some great shoes and so did i. I even wore the new shoes home though i couldnt bear to bend it even a little. It seems like these peeps were tired after all the shopping and we decided to go home. We had to sqeeze like atoms in the "Ionic Bond" in the MRT because some ppl dun listen to me and alight at City Hall to switch tracks instead of the Raffles Place i suggested (stares at Elmer =.= lol). Anyway, the gang spilt on the way home. Yifeng and Yinyong alighted at Tanah Merah MRT station to get to the Expo for some fair. Elmer stayed on the train to alight at Pasir Ris while the rest of us alighted at Tampines. Eugene decided to go home. So did jianhong, but weiqing decided to chill out at Tampines Mall instead. I followed. We were seriously chilling out. Weiqing tried to find a shirt in his last attempt of the day. Later we went to Toy R' Us. Remember the extremely cute toys that i saw in my previous entries? This time i took a picture of it. Well this is pretty much "it". Here are some pictures i took for the day. Project Superstar 2? Well, though i'm not licensed to blog about this, but to hell with that too. lol The story goes like this, the contestant had finish singing and it was the judges' time to give their comments and opinions. Well, one of the judge said "Erm, u look fierce when u sing, coz u dun smile somtimes." The contestant whom i forgot the name immediately did "the most charming smile on earth"(well u sense my sarcasim) and even accompanied it with a "V". Whats quite funny is the judge kinda "diao" him, then said " well, not exactly that... just a light smile" etc, leaving the contestant with a face mixed with emotions. @ 11/23/2006 09:09:00 PM
A boring day Oooo another great day to blog about my wonderful life (yet boring at times, cant be helped i guess lol). I went to the gym again today. But not alone, i was with jianhong, elmer and wilson. It was pretty much the same stuff at the gym (weight training and stuff) . Then i cant believe i had my lunch at LONG JOHN SILVER?!?! after like hours on the treadmill, all the calories i've lost, all these little demons probably piled up again. Well but at least we've had some juicy discussions there. Apparently A ( i shall not name them to protect their privacy) asked about treating a girl on a date. Then B said he tried before, but the girl refused ( what a waste? lol). C commented that it wasnt right as there should be equality between the 2 genders. Of course the conversation was much more exciting that what i've summarised, but what do u think? For me, i'll of course give a treat ( being a nice gentleman myself *puke* lol). But then if the girl refuses, i wouldnt give a damn either eh? LOL. No lah, of course i'll insist on it. But C has a point though, in this society of equality, it should not be only one-sided. Well anyway after the meal, we went to the tampines mall to shop for shirts to wear on Prom night ( oh yeah!), but unfortunately, there was only a micro variety of shirts available, and we were disappointed. After that, wilson and elmer had a game of pool at the arcade. Well, the result is obvious, but it was still a tight battle ( elmer's one tough guy to beat lol, though wilson won). Oh yah, eugene was also there, he poped outta nowhere. Seems like he went to swim alone (-.-). We then spend a couple of hours hovering around the mall like hungry spirits (hungry for entertainment). And omg, we actually visited Toys R' Us. Btw there was this EXTREMELY cute winnie the pooh merchandise available for purchase at 39.90. "While stocks last. Batteries not included." Bleh, hell with the price. Anyway everyone except eugene dropped by my house after that as we REALLY didnt know what to do ( eugene wanted to "read a book" lol). A hella-basketball day whoa, can't believe what happened today, i woke up at 8.50am, almost late for the PAE briefing stuff @ 9am. Luckily desmond woke me up, he wanted me to help him listen up for the information also as he was gonna be late as well. Anyway, i had a brief shower and "chiong"ed all the way to school, haha. After the briefing, jianhong, eugene and dazong went to the gym. I was going to follow them at first. But blah! i went to play basketball with weiqing and gang. And whoa... wilson was supposed to get the ball, but i ended up being the "provider"(and elmer still complain that my ball too smooth after asking me to get it lol). Took a long walk to the gym jianhong and gang were at to inform where we were playing at(though i didnt think it was necesary haha). Anyway, we walked back and played at the tampines north CC or whatever it's called. We played from probably around 10 to 1?, then we all at a stinky lunch at S-11. We were smelly (or at least i was?) and i didnt have to apetite to eat after drinking too much liquid. Ate like 3 molecules before we dropped by the library. Well, we spent a couple of minutes (or probably much MUCH longer) at the exhibition at the library. Elmer, Weiqing, Yinyong and Yifeng were like playing around with the exhibits lol (well theres a kid in everybody, probably more kids in them i guess?). After that, elmer, wilson and jianhong decided to go my house. Elmer wanted to borrow my deodourant lol. Anyway, little eugene followed along and before long, we were AT THE BASKETBALL COURT AGAIN! WAAA! This time, playing with the NPCCs aka Elmer's friends. Well, it was thrashing, the 4r2 peeps including me, decided to stick together. So it was 4r2 versus NPCC minus elmer(traitor lol). I cant rmb the score, but i think they scored once and we probably scored at least 50 times more? Well, they decided not to play and sit at Mcdonald's anyway. Then guess who poped out? Weiqing! He was with yinyong and yifeng. Hsing Han also came(i think jianhong dropped him a note or something?). Well, we played YET again and i got a cramp in my thigh. Then we all went home at probably 6 or 5 plus and everything finally went back to normal. Well thats my story. You have read yet another episode of "Alan and his dumb life", i guess. Cya P.S. A Rather Busy Day Wow, today was really busy. I woke and at 7 , bathed and i'm off! Hah, i went to the National Dental Hospital to check my teeth for compatiblity with braces. In fact, i was diagnosed with a "crowded tooth-line" ( heh i made this word), so i will have to be removed of 4 teeth, 2 from the top and bottom respectively. Yea, u might be thinking, "holy cow, 4 teeth?!?! ". I must admit, it was pretty shocking, but luckily, in attempt to show my courage in front of pretty dentist, i remained calm and cool. Then, another shocking news followed. It was gonna cost a jaw-dropping four thousand dollars. Even though i was kinda prepared for this, it was nonetheless "gulp"ing when i first heard it. Anyway, after i left, my mom who accompanied me brought me to orchard road for some shopping (hers, not mine). There came another shock, i was in bermudas and sandals! Shopping in orchard road, the hip-iest part of Singapore in sandals!?! Come on, that must be a mistake! Lol , i got through this embarrassment and continued my journey. After some hours, i was holding the support on the MRT, on my way home. Well, i dont know why, but i decided to check out the dentist at S-11 on my way home. Well, undeniably, the place seems posh from the outside, but as soon as i stepped in, i realised it was a mistake all together - to visit this dentist. I realised i should have made an appointment earlier so i wouldn't have to wait meaninglessly for an hour! Anyway, i was quite disturbed by the fact that me, a potential customer, was to wait uncomfortably in the crowded clinic. Before long, i left. Incredible Tales Today i watched the incredible tales on channel 5. It was an episode on an indian couple. Apparently, the wife "unintentionally" spitted on some tree and angered a spirit who proclaimed the tree as its territory. She lost her child and got possessed until a medium came to applease the spirit by praying. What i'm trying to say is, this story is definitely ridiculous. If spitting can anger spirits, wouldnt chinese tourist or even singaporean "ah pek"s be haunted for life? I mean... most of them just spit around the neighbourhood even though they know it's rude and illegal (YES, even with the $500 fines for spitting). Well, people shouldnt spit and Incredible Tales should be more incredible than that, right? What an irony, perhaps even spirits are racist. Or even the show is racist?! @ 11/19/2006 10:56:00 PM
