TPJC and ME 2007 *edit: added new pics at the bottom, 7/1/07 Well, i'm currently at tampines junior college. Been quite a busy period, orientation, dentist, orientation night... So i didnt quite have time to come online to chat and blog. The last 3 days, i had the TAMPINES JUNIOR COLLEGE ORIENTATION 2007. I was on the group, BARBOSSA. The orientation was on Pirates theme, thus such a group name. There were other groups such as Capt morgan, Blackbeard (yea.. blackbird = crow, wu ya), Jack Sparrow (and they couldnt fly -.-) , Davy Jones and Capt hook (and they had to call themselves hookers lol, the other groups were cheering "How much how much" ). Ok first day... There was some mess in the meeting time with wilson and weiqing. Apparently weiqing forgot to bring his handphone, so wilson and i couldnt get in touch with him. This made us think that weiqing has overslept, so wilson went to look for him at his hse(since they live a block away), while i wait at the pre-arranged location. Guess what? Weiqing came in like 2secs after i reached there... In the end, we were waiting for wilson, who went str8 to the tpjc overhead bridge. Then in the end, Weiqing and I sprinted there ... then make me so sweaty... So i went to sch then all the girls surround me, saying that they like sweaty man, then i so high. Lol and i'm kidding. Anyway we reached school at around 7.10. Thinking we were late, we roamed around the school to look for the place where we were supposed to assemble. Turned out to be the empty hall.... Almost everyone arrived after 7.30. Then there was some talk by the principal. At least she admits shes "pleasantly plump" lol. She sounds like a fun person. The emcees were great. Cant rmb anyone of their names tho. However, its definite that the female emcee has potential to be a great host. I think her name is shocendra or something? Lol Then there was some ice breaking games and a "friggin" choir auditions !! Holy... Despite my persistent complain that i wanna try other cca, the peeps still wanted me to "try". So i gave it my best shot, the ultimate mono-toned banshee wailing! At least i screwed it up perfectly. Hope i dun get into choir again. Then there were some games. One which i remembered vividly was the one which i had to take off my top. The game was to see which team could form the longest line with only items on their body, thus the key to winning was for the boys to take off as much clothing as possible. Well at first i was pretty reluctant... But then i saw Shan Zheng (the first friend i made at TPJC) took of his. Then i was like... wtf am i any less man than him?!!? Lol so i took it off and it was so cold at the field. 2nd Day, The main event on the 2nd day was the mass dance. Ok i admit, i like see the cute seniors dancing on stage, especially when the moves are so kawaii... Lol. Basically there were 3 songs, 2 was individual dance while the 3rd was a couple dance. The couple dance was alright, except the part where u are supposed to dance with the girl. I was quickly put into rows of boys and girls. The girl would have to dance with the boy beside her. Ok, i know i shouldnt be saying this, but i turned around and got a shock of my life. I was gonna to dance with this girl 2 feet shorter than me and 3 times my size... I mean i couldnt even lift her arms, talk about dancing?!? Lol jk la, just cracking a joke ok? no offence to anyone! :P Well anyway, what i did during the dance was to pretend i've been badly food-poisoned. Well, luckily, time passed. Anyway, later while it was the other groups' turn to mass dance. Surprisingly, i felt super high, then wilson, his friend, shan zheng and me, went to join in and dance. Lol Later in the mid-afternoon, there was some orientation night planning. I tried my best to appear like i'm at the brink of death. Surprisingly, some guy came out with an ideal of pirates rowwing a boat or something. I mean... pirates dun row? pirates sail! Lol Then one of the OGLs (orientation group leaders) came out with an idea of the different group representatives taking part in a treasure hunt. Then Barbossa(our group) wins. Something like that. Lol 3rd Day, The main event on the 3rd day was the wet games and orientation night! WOOH i think this was the best day, although i had a bad headache towards the night due to the lack of sleep. (thanks to Get Backers, 11.30pm, Central, Wed to fridays) Wet games were hell wet! The group i was in was hella high. Mud, tomato sauce, eggs, flour, grass - pretty much all that was on me. I think not many ppl were too enthusiastic about the wet games. I saw a boy who was clean while his team were all dirty and yucky. I guess u really need to be enthusiastic to have fun. For a sian-sian kid, rolling on mud will be like ... aww, dirty clothes, smelly... yucky, er xin(disgusting). But for an enthusiastic kid, it will be chocolate coatings for everyone! Hurray! Wow! See the difference? Be enthusiastic and i bet u'll have fun in everything u do. Trust me. Wilson had a lotta fun, he was playing with mud even after the games stopped. Almost found him in a kinder surprise egg at the end of the day. ( sorry if u dun get the joke) Orientation Night Probably the best event for the 3 days. There was a campfire. The guy lighting the campfire even burnt part of the sch along with it because he left the torch near some flammable objects Lol. Then there were performances by the 6 groups. I think all the other performances by the other groups fared better than ours, honestly speaking. I was damn high that night, which was probably y i got a headache soon after. Jack Sparrow and Blackbeard merged too, to form Black Jack. Meanwhile Weiqing criticised the name. ( Cant really rmb what he said -> headache -.- ) Oh yah, Jack Sparrow won the best team award. Barbossa won "the team with the loudest cheer award" (another way of saying consolation prize Lol) But it was alright, I had a great time and i'm sure many others did likewise. The night ended with some (seriously lousy) bands trying rock the house. Though they sucked, but the ambience was still as great. Lastly, i went home with great memories, superb experiences, a headache and lots of chocolate :D Lol. Thats all, folks, cya soon.  Great view of the field The subject is not the girls.
